Diamond SX-1000
Thursday 01 June 2006 - 07:10:01
Last weekend I attended to a market of HAM related stuff in Beetsterzwaag. There were less people then other years, but I enjoyed it. I saw a lot of people I know, but who I rarely see. People who I only speak by radio.

Diamond SX-1000
I bought a Diamond SX-1000 VSWR meter. I have some SWR meters from my time as a CB-er, but no-one is suited to work on frequencies above the 150Mhz. Therefore I bought a good VSWR meter. The Diamond SX-1000.

It has the following range:
  • Sensor BND1 1.8Mhz. - 160Mhz.
  • Sensor BND2 430Mhz. - 450Mhz.
  • Sensor BND3 800Mhz. - 930Mhz.
  • Sensor BND4 1240Mhz. - 1300Mhz.

I think that the gaps in the frequencies also are covered, but not guaranteed. Anyone who know something about that matter? Anyway I found out that the Diamond V-2000 antenna on 430Mhz. - 440Mhz. has a reasonble VSWR. The range various between the 1:1.0 till the 1:1.5 Never higher. Outstanding!

I added also the Instruction manual (English) for this VSWR meter. Only the Japanese instruction manual was included and I have to admit that my Japanese is not as good as I want it to be.
