Broken FT-2000

G'day all
I was given (yes, given) a FT-2000 from an old friend. He told me that it had a few issues.....I should have given it back right there, but hey, I love a challenge!
The problem I have is when I go to power on the radio all I hear is a little "click" from a relay on the RF Unit (I think) and the meter lamp flashes momenteraly.
The internal PSU is OK. It does this if I power it from the internal PSU or the external PSU.
Has anyone seen this problem? Would it be worth fixing? Or should I just trash it?

Added the schematics of the FT-2600 of Yaesu, because I saw a posting in the ChatBox of someone looking for more information to increase the MikeGain of the radio.
I have just bought a used TS430s. There is no info on hooking up the to power supply. . There are 4 wires one red one white, one black and one gray. Do the red go to pos. and the white to neg? If so where do the black and gray go. Thank you. Peer

Thank You for the Service Manual for the ICOM 7000. I just bought it and am impressed, but the manual was written for people very familiar with the operation. I needed the Blocks and explanations to understand the controls I had. A quick glance at the manual showed just what I needed to feel comfortable to handle this wonderful machine.
Just wanted to thank you for this site now i have a new place to check out for manuals and such. Now i can program in the tones on my kenwood tm-261. I get lost with menus and such all my rigs except this one glows in the dark! 73 Bob KB3PET
